2 Takay Surokkha
Sanitary napkins are essential for maintaining menstrual hygiene and overall health during menstruation. They provide a hygienic, safe, and discreet way for women to manage their periods, ensuring comfort and protection from leakage, which is especially important for daily activities like work, school, and social interactions.
Keeping this scenario in mind Banglar Bagh Foundation has established a vending machine, like box named "2-takay surokkha box" in Bangabandhu Koloni at Barishal from where poor girl can take one sanitary napkin in cost of BDT 2. This step has improved the lifestyle of girls of that area.
In the coming days, Insha-Allah, we aim to expand this project to other low-income communities across the country. Our goal is to establish "2 Takay Surokkha Boxes" in schools, slums, and rural areas, ensuring no girl has to compromise on her health and dignity due to lack of access to sanitary products. We are working on building partnerships with local stakeholders, health organizations, and volunteers to make this a sustainable, community-driven model that can be scaled nationwide.
We invite you to be part of this impactful journey. Please consider supporting us—through donations, partnerships, or spreading the word—as we continue developing future programs and projects to uplift vulnerable communities. Together, we can ensure menstrual hygiene is a right, not a privilege.
